Private School Students

Program Overview and Administration

The Utah Private Course Choice Empowerment Program (CCE) was created by the Utah State Legislature, shifting online courses previously offered to private school students through the Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) to the CCE.

  • Current Status: The program is currently overseen by the USBE, which is handling the payment process while the selected vendor (contractor) prepares to take over full administration.
  • Future Administration: The program will eventually transition to being fully managed by a vendor under contract, a transition expected to be finalized and fully operational by the end of April 2026.
  • Course Provider: Currently, the courses are being offered through Arizona State University Prep Digital Global.

Cost and Enrollment Limits

The program is funded to ensure accessibility and is offered at no cost to parents or students.

  • Funding: Dedicated state funds were appropriated to cover the cost of all approved courses.
  • Enrollment Limit: Students who are recipients of the Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship are allowed to enroll in a maximum of four (4) credits per school year.

Eligibility and Transcripts

  • Will credits transfer to the private school transcript? While these courses should be accepted and added to your child's private school transcript for credit, you must confirm the specific credit transfer policy directly with your private school's administration.

Important Next Step: Funding Availability

Please be advised that the funds appropriated for the current school year's courses have already been fully utilized.

We highly recommend you contact the new program administrator as soon as they take over after April to inquire about the next cycle's registration and funding availability. Registering promptly will be key to securing a spot for your student.
